ARA-290 is an 11-amino acid synthetic peptide derived from the helix B surface peptide (HBSP) region of erythropoietin. Unlike erythropoietin itself, ARA-290 has been studied for its selective interactions with the innate repair receptor (IRR) rather than the classical EPO receptor.
